ABOUT US

Our Experience

We started our program in 2013 to help Combat Veterans with PTSD, TBI and Mobility issues. Our Lead trainer, Angie Hoaglin, has been training dogs, horses and livestock for over 20 years and started her Service dog training course in 2013. She was required to complete a yearlong apprenticeship with Paws for Veterans run by Crystal Callahan in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She learned how to train service dogs for seizure alert/response, PTSD, TBI, Autism, mobility issues, diabetes alert, and other issues except for seeing eye dogs. We currently have 2 other service dog trainers Daniel Hoaglin and Jesse Hancock with 4 years of service dog training and handling experience. We also have several co-trainers who assist as needed with manners and obedience. We have more than 20 actively working service dogs that exceed the ADA requirements for service dog teams.

Our Program

Our program model was designed to maximize successful teams. We have several different training paths based on your needs. We practice compliance-based dog training, that is a willingness to preform obedience and service tasks on the first ask and engage in excellent manners because your dog wants to please you. We use treats, toys pets and praise working towards a conditioned and automatic response.

We offer several different Service Dog Training Courses, Monthly Classes and on Site Training.

We can provide you with a dog selected based on your needs.

We also will work with you and your Dog.

Our Program Offers Pay as you Go Tuition

Service Dog Training Can be Expensive we have designed our program into to steps so that you can pay for the services you need when they're needed.

What types of Dogs do we Select?

We only select and train dogs for their handler’s disabilities, personalities and abilities.

The dog must be the right shape, size and have the inherent skill sets needed to help their handler.

The dog needs to have the correct temperament and disposition – personality- so that they can best serve their handler

The dog needs to also be able to fit into the rest of their handler’s life and be able to match the level of physical activities and acclimate to the different environments their handler frequents most often.

We select healthy dogs who are fit enough to preform the job for as many years as possible.

We do not discriminate against any breed, color, gender, or coat type. We may select a dog for a certain appearance if we feel that it helps their handler manipulate public perception to their advantage. We may select a coat type for those who suffer from allergies. We may consider the type of dog you may want, understand that you may not get the type of breed, gender or color you wish. Requests for a breed of dog usually requires an additional 6-12 months of wait time.
